I finally realized that I wasn’t alone in my blindness journey and had found an organization (and clients) who were going to be with me and actually understood what I was experiencing.”

Joey later returned for a guide dog and was matched with Tucker. Today, he works with middle and high school students with disabilities, teaching pre-employment skills, and serves as an ambassador for Leader Dogs for the Blind.

“Before partnering with Leader Dog, I was literally confined to my neighborhood or holding onto the arm of another person,” says Joey. “Now? Along with Tucker, I travel all over the country supporting Leader Dog.”
